The Peach made the move with us to Quebec on a trailer... My brother thought this was a little on the sadder side of it's adventures. I was thinking it was a nice treat for the camper to not have to fight down the 401 this late in the season.
Never the less, we made it safe and sound, and it's now in the garage all buttoned up for the winter. There is already a list started with items that need to be addressed before we head out next summer. There is a nasty oil leak that appears to be coming from the push rod tubes, we are going to have to replace those O-Rings at some point.

Fish Stories

His first catch, he made two that day, catching the first and the biggest of the day, both were tasty. This is a stocked pond, that charges by the inch - cheap entertainment and dinner. Click on the photos link on the top right to see some more.

We're back in Toronto for now, summer camping trips are all but over, with just one possible overnighter next weekend, near Elora Gorge.

Back to La Belle Province

Heading to Quebec this weekend, Eastern Townships, Quebec City, Ottawa etc etc.
Last of the larger trips this season it appears, rare we camp after September - but you never know.

Busy Busy Busy

The Peach outside the house, waiting.

There are some new photos posted from our last trip, click the link on the right to see them. We are moving and this has kept us from doing any real exploring, other than day trips around town. We may have something up our sleeve later this week...

Family, friends, sunshine and ice cream.

We are in Hudson, QC today for more of the same.

Everyday gets a little hotter, and the weather man says it will continue to climb this week.

We will head back to Toronto this afternoon, taking as many breaks as possible along the way.

Murphys Point

Getting ready for the beach, at Murphys Point. We stopped yesterday in Cobourg for lunch and a break at the beach. Dark clouds started to buildup, so we packed up and ran for The Peach. With the wind howling, we sprinted across the park, just before we reached the bus, a very large old oak tree came crashing down. It narrowly missed a parked car but did take out a street lamp. A few tears out fear, but we were unharmed and now that is all the kids are talking about.

Heading to Ottawa today, after lunch.

Go East

Plan to head East tomorrow, for a little more camping and summer fun. We will go as far as Hudson, QC and many points in between.
There are a few photos of our Bruce Peninsula trip in the album, more to follow.

To the beach.

Everyone is still sleeping, except for the chipmunks. The battle royale continues with those two, with no clear winner in sight. Our youngest has her money on the one with the white spot on his side, but this morning I saw his opponent pulloff a roundhouse, with no effort. A matchup for the ages.
Cyprus Lake was like glass this morning. Today we head for Sauble Beach for lunch. The weather has been perfect so far, fingers crossed for today.

Roughing it?

Starving mosquitoes? Check.  Snakes in the grass? Check. Snakes in the water? Check. Minor burns? Check. Overnight fever? Check. Flys masquerading as bees? Check. Slivers in fingers? Check. 24 hour chipmunk fights / mating? Check. Yup, day one.

On the road...

So far so good. We are in Owen Sound taking a lunch break at Kelso Beach. Kids are splashing around in the water park, and dad is about to nap.

Winnipeg, is a no go. :(

With regret, we won't be making the voyage from Toronto to the 'Peg this week. A disappointment to say the least, however, we still will manage to explore a small part of the Bruce Peninsula, on the Georgian Bay side. There are excuses that cover this change of plans, but none of them mechanical, that is to say, The Peach is sound and ready for action this Monday.

Gearing up for Winnipeg

The townships were a success, and we have been home for a couple weeks. Last weekend we went to the Evergreen Brick Works. Lots of fun and great grub. The Peach has performed well and I think she is looking forward to hitting the road next week. We added a third centre brake light and some more convenience lighting to the interior, that should help with those middle of the night potty breaks.

Eastern Townships - Quebec

Fuel lines are being replaced, tune up and oil change are all happening as I type. The weather has finally turned here in TO, so, we are going to take The Peach out to Quebec, in the townships for a week or so. The trip includes a night stay in eastern Ontario, this trip usually makes for good snap shots, check back here for those.

Rainy Week

Forecast for the Toronto area is wet and bleak, rain rarely stops us, but that, along with the lower temperatures... changes things. The Peach has no interior heating, so a longer drive to a destination can be difficult if the temps are hovering around 10C. Having to warm up after the drive, is usually not a good start for a camping trip.

We might take her on a day trip to the Niagara Falls region to visit some family next weekend, if its warm enough, we could spend a night or two somewhere out that way.

This might be the perfect week to replace all the fuel lines, something I have had on the list for this season.

Suggestions, we are looking for them. Thinking of exploring the Georgian Bay area this summer, but have no solid locations, can you help?
